BY BRANT PARSONS — The FHSAA state duals series crowned four more district champions on Tuesday with 11 more coming on Wednesday.

Along with the release of updated individual rankings, Kabra Wrestling also looked at the new Number 1 wrestlers and biggest movers up in the rankings.

Sebastian River wins 2A-13 title

Eight wrestlers went 3-0 as Sebastian River won the 2A-13 district duals title convincingly.

The Sharks won their three duals by an average score of 64.3-15.3.

Austin Douglas (106), Ezekiel Guerrero (120), Brendan Powers (126), Nikhil Guerrero (138), Reed Holtz (144), Lucas Boecker (150), Elijah Weather (157) and Phineas Weatherly (165) all went 3-0 on the day.

Heritage finished second with Tyquez Smith finishing perfect at 285 pounds.

Rockledge’s Vladimir Drown (106), Connor Gonzalez (132), Troy Love (215), and Bayside’s Gary Bradley (190) also went 3-0 in the competition.

Baker County repeats as 1A-3 duals champion

Baker County topped Yulee 60-23 in the finals and Stanton Prep 73-6 in the semifinals to win another district duals title.

The Wildcats got perfect nights from Nathan Roll (120); Jareb Lauramore (138), Taz Kinghorn (144), Sebastian Overland (157), Ceylub Winn (165), Tommy Rollins (175), and Kristian Chancey (190).

Yulee finished in second place after a thrilling 42-40 semifinal win over host Fernandina Beach.

After Yulee built a 36-12 lead, Fernandina Beach came roaring back with five straight wins to take a 40-36 lead in the last bout.

Andrew Watkins scored a pin at 165 pounds to seal the win for the Hornets.

Hernando tops Nature Coast for title

The 1A-6 district duals title went to Hernando after the Leopards topped host Nature Coast 57-18 in the final.

Hernando beat The Villages 42-29 in the semifinals while Nature Coast advanced with a tight 42-37 win over Weeki Wachee.

In the first round, Hernando blanked The First Academy 83-0, Nature Coast defeated Mount Dora 52-27, Weeki Wachee dispatched Brooksville Central 75-6 and The Villages outscored Bishop Moore 62-17.

District Duals decided in 1A-9

Kabra Wrestling is still trying to attain results from this tournament on Tuesday.

#6 Flagler Palm Coast rolls

There was a light schedule of duals on Tuesday night. Sixth-ranked FPC blanked Mainland 81-0, having winners at all 14 weight classes.

Tocoi Creek beat Wolfson 64-16 in a battle in North Florida.

On Today’s Schedule

There are 11 different district duals tournaments being competed today.

In Class 3A, districts 4, 5, 6, 10, and 13 will determine their champions and runners-up. Class 2A will see winners settled in 1, 5, 6, and 7. Districts 1A-5 and 1A-10 will also be contested.
