New number ones and big movers | Rankings highlights
BY BRANT PARSONS — Kabra Wrestling has released it’s weekly individual rankings after a busy weekend in Florida.
There were multiple big tournaments and it seemed like nearly everyone in the state was kicking off 2025 on the mat.
We’ll look at some of the highlights on the new rankings, which are always available on the site for Kabra+ members.
Four new #1s
Nathan Lyttle, Harmony, 3A-113 pounds
Lyttle improved to 17-0 with a title-winning performance at the Braves Invitational that included a 3-2 win over South Dade's returning state champion Bryan Morales.
Gavin Fisher, Middleburg, 2A-113 pounds
Fisher moved up to the top spot in 2A-113 after Gulf Breeze's Garrett Ferguson knocked off prior top-ranked Eric Bush at the Braves Invitational.
James Kosza, Wellington, 3A-157 pounds
The junior is moving up a weight and has wins over two wrestlers in the top 3.
Kailani Barrientos, Oakleaf, Girls-140 pounds
The Oakleaf junior moved to the top spot when she moved down to 135 pounds to compete at the Lady Braves Invitational.
