Here are the nominations to choose from for the Reader’s Choice Wrestler of the Week.

Girls

Ailee Briggs (Lemon Bay): Prevailed in a bracket at the Lady Wildcat that featured four Top 7 wrestlers.

Ani Brown (Matanzas): Completed a championship run at Cradle Cancer with a last-second pin in the final in sudden victory.

Keana Bush (Hudson): Beat four ranked wrestlers to win the Lady Bears Invitational.

Tiana Fries (Matanzas): Fries continues to hit her stride, upsetting the second-ranked wrestler in the final at Jensen Beach.

Mia Parker (First Baptist-Naples): The 8th grader continues to impress, winning her second tournament of the season at Lady Bear.

Isabella Tolentino (East River): Scored one of our top upsets of the week with a strong performance at Winter Springs in a bracket that featured three Top 7 wrestlers.

Quisiera Wilson (Lincoln Park): The talented freshman won another tournament, finishing first in the Lady Wildcat Scramble.

Boys

Luis Acevedo (South Dade): The defending state champion took out another state champion in the final of the Cradle Cancer.

Maximus Brady (Mariner): Knocked off the top-ranked Class 3A wrestler 7-0 in the Cradle Cancer final.

Enzo Gamba (Fernandina Beach): The Pirates senior had to beat two top-ranked wrestlers to win the title at the Cradle Cancer.

Tim Gray (Crystal River): Battled through a tough bracket at Jensen Beach to earn the Cradle Cancer title.

Cavarius Liddie (Buchholz): The returning state champion put on a riding show in the finals of the Cradle Cancer, in a bracket that featured four of the Top 5 in Class 3A.

Gianni Maldonado (Lake Gibson): The Air Force commit and returning state champion made the podium at the Doc B, one of the hardest tournaments in the country.

Solomon Peterson (Heritage): Toppled two wrestlers ranked in the Top 2 on his way to Cradle Cancer glory.
