BY BRANT PARSONS — Each week during the season, Kabra Wrestling picks a wrestler of the week at each weight class and an overall team for both boys and girls.

Separate from the Reader’s Choice vote, this list is determined solely by Kabra Wrestling and we look to highlight accomplishments from across the state.

Here are all of those to be honored so far this season.

Weeks 4-5 Wrestlers of the Week

BOYS

TOW: Cardinal Gibbons: Won the Bobby Stanley Duals with two wins over Columbus and one against Charlotte.

106: Matthew Schuler (Charlotte): Finished the Stanley Duals with a 6-0 record.

113: Christian Vazquez (Doral Academy): Won the Knockout Classic and beat the #1 and #2 wrestlers in Class 3A on the way to the crown.

120: Damonyai White (Lake Mary): Won the Amanda St. John Memorial in Week 4.

126: Coby Shields (Gulf Breeze): Finished with an undefeated 9-0 mark at the Beast of the Beach.

132: Jovani Solis (Somerset): Won the Knockout Christmas Tournament as an eighth grader.

138: Laird Duhaylungsod (Fleming Island): Earned the top spot at the Hammer Invitational at Oakleaf.

144: Jaydon Robinson (Winter Springs): Breezed through the competition at the Knockout Classic.

150: Anderson Heap (Kissimmee Osceola): The Kowboys senior won his third Knockout crown in convincing fashion.

157: Gianni Maldonado (Lake Gibson): The defending state champion blaned his opponent in the final at Silver Spurs.

165: Jason Simmons (Cardinal Gibbons): Went 7-0 to help lead the Chiefs to the team title at the Bobby Stanley Duals.

175: Michael Mora (Columbus): Went 7-0 at the Bobby Stanley Duals and beat the #2 wrestler in Class 1A by a 3-1 margin.

190: Jordan Mills (Matanzas): A thrilling final at the Knockout was won with 11 seconds left by the Matanzas senior.

215: Sawyer Bartelt (South Dade): Became the third-ever wrestler to win four Knockout Christmas titles.

285: Kaden Darwin (Palmetto Ridge): Improved to 25-0 on the season with a gutsy tiebreaker win in the final against the Class 1A #1.

GIRLS

100: Camdyn Elliott (Gulf Breeze): Collected big win after big win over the holiday break, winning both tournaments she competed in, including the Knockout.

105: Gabriele Tedesco (Lake Gibson): Steady as ever, Tedesco won a third Knockout Christmas Classic title.

110: Mariah Mills (Matanzas): Won the match of the finals with a takedown in sudden victory at Silver Spurs.

115: Iyonna Church-Ross (Charlotte): Had a perfect 5-for-5 performance in winning the Knockout Christmas Classic.

120: Sydney Bridenstine (Hernando): Beat last year's Georgia state champion and Fargo All-American in the final at the Knockout.

125: Deleilah Viteri (Horizon): Finished in first place at the Skylar White Invitational.

130: Juliana Caisse (Palm Harbor University): Top-placing wrestler from Florida in the weight class, defeated two Top 10 wrestlers.

135: Bryanne Kaminsky (Orange City University): Defeated two Top 3 wrestlers on her way to a Knockout crown in an impressive two-day performance.

140: Sofia Delgado (Coral Park): Added a second Knockout Christmas title to her collection.

145: Katherine Stewart (Bartram Trail): Collected four bonus-point wins on her way to the top spot on the podium in Kissimmee.

155: Mya Bethel (North Miami): Dominated Top 10 nationally-ranked wrestler in the final of the Knockout.

170: Kylah Anderson (North Bay Haven): Won the 165-pound title at the Gulf Shores Scuffle.

190: Emari Brown (Harmony): Won all four of her matches at the Knockout by pin.

235: Rotchiva Clermont (Orlando Freedom): Defeated fourth-ranked wrestler in the final of the Knockout Christmas Classic.

Week 3 Wrestlers of the Week

BOYS

TOW: Viera: Won the school's first district duals title with a 40-36 win in the district final.

106: Broc Dahlin (Bayshore): Freshman hammer improved to 19-0 this season with a Bradenton Battle championship.

113: Jake Austin (Somerset): The defending state champion won a bracket featuring three Top 6 wrestlers.

120: David de Armas (Doral Academy): Scored an upset win of the final at the Bill Scott Invitational.

126: Jack Oliver (Lemon Bay): Beat three ranked wrestlers at the Bradenton Battle and was named Most Outstanding Wrestler.

132: Cael Kubatzke (Fernandina Beach): Went undefeated (9-0) at the Yulee Duals.

138: Carson Estrada (Harmony): Eight months after ACL surgery, the Longhorn senior won his first tournament of the season by beating the #5 wrestler in Class 3A.

144: Giovanny Duany (Lake Brantley): Defeated the top-ranked wrestler in the weight class twice last week.

150: Kaden Schaefer (Fleming Island): A second-straight perfect weekend for the Eagles senior.

157: Jonathan Moreno (South Dade): Freshman made his Bucs debut with a perfect District Duals performance.

165: Husam Mustafa (Lake Wales): Went 9-0 at the Polk County Duals with an upset ranked win.

175: Javier Lopez (Zephyrhills Christian): Topped the field at the Corey Hill Memorial.

190: Arron McCarty (Robinson): Finished 9-0 at East Bay this weekend with eight wins by pin.

215: Frank Cornelison (North Fort Myers): Was crowned King of the Jungle in his home gym this weekend.

285: Shantavous White (Jupiter): Tallied two Top 20 upsets last week and won the GillisStrong.

GIRLS

TOW: Hernado: The second time the team earns this honor and they got it by pulling away in the second half of the Let Freedom Ring.

100: Sayuri Caceres (Lincoln): Scored four bonus point wins on her way to the title at Freedom.

105: Maite Coutinho (Orlando Freedom): Beat the #4 and #5 wrestlers in the state to win the Let Freedom Ring title.

110: Gabriella Vasquez (Bishop Verot): Won her second straight tournament with a win at North Fort Myers.

115: Andrea Garcia (Riverdale): The Riverdale sophomore knocked off #4 in the semifinal and #3 in the final at Freedom.

120: Jasmine Serrano (Springstead): Beat two familiar faces for the second time each this season to win at Freedom.

125: Kaitelynn Oliver (South Dade): Won her second tournament title this year with a victory in the Let Freedom Ring.

130: Ana Vilar (Flager Palm Coast): Improved to 15-0 on the season with a fourth tournament victoy.

135: Kailani Barrientos (Oakleaf): Victorious in one of the most anticipated finals at Orlando Freedom against top-ranked opponent.

140: Claire O'Donnell (Canterbury): Knocked off the No. 8 ranked wrestler to win the Queen of the Jungle.

145: Sofia Delgado (Coral Park): Won a battle of No. 1s at the Let Freedom Ring.

155: Alena Rik (Mater Lakes Academy): Defeated three Top 7 ranked wrestlers to win at Let it Ring.

170: Grace Freeman (LaBelle): Battled to the top spot on the Queen of the Jungle podium.

190: Cheyenne Cruce (Middleburg): The returning state champion was dominant in her performance at Freedom.

235: Judlie Laplante (Oak Ridge): Finished atop the podium at Let Freedom Ring.

Week 2 Wrestlers of the Week

BOYS

TOW: Zephyrhills Christian: Topped 34 teams at the 42 Annual Kiwanis Invitational.

106: Bryan Morales (South Dade): Avenged his loss at H-Town Throwdown and won a tough 106-pound Gold Bracket at the Danny Byron.

113: Preston Neufeld (North Bay Haven): The Washington state champion transfer won his second title for the Buccaneers with a win at the Ryan Blackwell

120: Ethan Rivera (Lake Highland): One of two Florida wrestlers to place in the Top 4 at the Walsh Jesuit Ironman.

126: Sebastian Bonachea (Oakleaf): Defeated two Top 5 wrestlers to win the Kiwanis Invitational.

132: Dillon Smith (SW Miami): The junior Eagles wrestler won his second big tournament of the season with a gold medal performance at Kissimmee Osceola.

138: Yianni Marinis (River Ridge): Pinned a Top 5 wrestler in the final to win his first tournament of the season.

144: Jonathan Martinez (South Fort Myers): Topped a tough field at the Captain Archer at Charlotte.

144: Jaylon Robinson (Winter Springs): Placed fourth at the prestigious Walsh Jesuit Ironman

150: Gianni Maldonado (Lake Gibson): Became the third Braves wrestler to place at the Ironman.

157: Anderson Heap (Kissimmee Osceola): The two-time state champion continued his senior season with a brilliant performance at Danny Byron.

165: Giovanni Deangeles (Park Vista): The top-ranked wrestler in Class 3A earned his first tournament win of the season at Santaluces.

175: Elijah Penton (Winter Springs): Finished the Ironman on the podium to be the second Bears placer this season.

190: Robert Kucharszk (Lake Highland Prep): A fourth place finish was the best for the Highlanders along with Rivera.

190: Sawyer VanRider (New Smyrna Beach): Won a loaded Captain Archer field that featured the top three wrestlers in Class 2A.

215: Michael Mocco (Cardinal Gibbons): The Fargo national champion placed fourth in loaded Walsh Jesuit Ironman.

285: Tim Gray (Crystal River): Defeated two top 4 wrestlers to win the Kiwanis Invitational.

GIRLS

TOW: Orlando Freedom: The Patriots had a statement performance ahead of this weekend's Let Freedom Ring by winning the team crown at Own the Ocean.

100: Camdyn Elliott (Gulf Breeze): Won a matchup of Top 4 wrestlers in the final of the Own the Ocean.

105: MacKenzie Allcroft (Fort Pierce Central): Scored one of the upsets of the weekend with a win over a Top 5 wrestler at Ponte Vedra.

105: Gabriele Tedesco (Lake Gibson): The defending state champion had a Top 4 finish at the Walsh Womens Ironman.

110: Keanna Bush (Hudson): Earned another tournament title with a strong performance at Colonial's Grenadier Girls Grappler.

115: Brenda Gomez (Vero Beach): After two runner-up finishes to start the season, the junior picked up a mid-week win atPalm Bay.

115: Emma Bauknight (Hernando): A repeat WOW honoree, she was one of three Hernando wrestlers to place at the Walsh Womens Ironman.

120: Abby DiCenzo (Bell Creek): Made her mark in Akron with a fifth-place finish at the Womens Ironman.

125: Chloe Parets (Florida Christian): Her win at the Steadwell-Grow was her second of the season.

130: Jayda Hagood (St. Pete Northeast): Made her season debut with a win at the Cougar Clash.

135: Lesane Hied (North Miami): Earned a first-place finish at It's In My DNA.

140: Kylie Mangum (Space Coast): The freshman won her second tournament of the season with a title-earning performance at the Grenadier Girls Grappler.

145: Kaylie Collado (Poinciana): Earned a title at Colonial with a Top 20 win in the finals.

145: Makenzie Eltzroth (Hernando): The first Florida champion at the Walsh Womens Ironman.

155: Karla Ortiz (Westside): The fourth-ranked Ortiz knocked off the third-ranked wrestler in her weight class at Own the Ocean.

170: Grace Leota (Hernando): Last year's undefeated state champion earned a fourth place spot in Ohio.

190: Jada Jones (Apopka): Pinned a fourth-ranked wrestler in the finals at the Grenadier Girls Grappler.

235: Yami Herring (Ocoee): Won the Grenadier Girls Grappler with a pin in the championship match.

Week 1 Wrestlers of the Week

BOYS

TOW: SW Miami: High-flying Eagles powered their way to the H-Town Throwdown championship with four individual champions.

106: Sebastian Gonzalez (Southwest Miami): Freshman knocked off the No. 2 ranked wrestler in the state on his way to a championship in first high school tournament.

113: Guillermo Jaramillo (South Dade): Pinned the top-ranked wrestler at 113 pounds in Class 3A in the H-Town Throwdown final.

120: Frederick Mitchum (Miami Southridge): Prevailed in a loaded weight class at the H-Town Throwdown.

126: Dario Duany (Lake Brantley): Topped the field at the Clash of Titans that featured four Top 12 wrestlers in the weight class.

132: Preston Thompkins (Riverdale): Made his Raiders debut by going 7-0 at the Gary Freis Duals.

138: Max Brady (Mariner): Won perhaps the most highly-anticipated wrestling match of the weekend (for us at least) in a 1 vs. 2 battle at Chase Life Duals.

144: Jaydon Robinson (Winter Springs): Had three bonus points wins on his way to the Clash of Titans title.

150: Draven McCall (Jesuit): The defending Class 2A state champion beat two-time Class 1A state champ in the final of the Ben Richards Memorial.

157: Kawayran Vazquez (Jesuit): The multiple medalist at the U15 Pan American Championships also won the Ben Richards Memorial.

165: Willie White (Southwest Miami): One of two surprise winners, to us, for SW Miami at the H-Town Throwdown, topping last year's third place finisher and 2nd-ranked Class 3A wrestler in the final.

175: Gunner Holland (Osceola): Nationally-ranked Holland knocked off the third-ranked national prep wrestler in the semifinals and then beat the No. 19 wrestler in the final of the Clash of Titans.

190: David Mercado (North Bay Haven): Last year's state champion rolled through a top-two matchup in the finals at Cam Brown Classic.

215: Lucson Emile (Dillard): Opened the season with a win at the Boca Raton Bobcat Invitational.

285: Gavyn Uribes (Hudson): Collected some big wins while going 5-0 at the Battle of the Beach.

GIRLS

TOW: South Dade: The Buccaneers came out on top in a loaded Lady Clash of Titans.

100: Kiera Partello (Barron Collier): Knocked off two ranked wrestlers to win at Jensen Beach on Saturday.

105: Miayalee Ortiz Martinez (George Jenkins): After a successful trip representing Puerto Rico at the U15 Pan American Championships, she beat a Top 10 wrestler in the final of the Ben Richards.

110: Mariah Mills (Matanzas): In a battle of top two ranked wrestlers, the Matanzas 110-pounder came out on top at the Lady Clash.

115: Paola Ramirez (Kissimmee Osceola): Opened up the season by topping two ranked wrestlers on her way to a Clash of Titans title.

120: Jasmine Serrano (Springstead): Defeated two Top 4 wrestlers on her way to winning the Lady Bash at Sunlake.

125: Lahela Turnquest (Pace): Scored a victory in Alabama at the Murder Creek Melee.

130: Ashley Shaw (Chiles): Kicked off the year in style with a win at the Ben Richards Memorial.

135: Kailani Barrientos (Oakleaf): Opened up her season with a championship at the Lady Clash with a win over a Top 4 wrestler in the championship round.

140: Kristy More (Sunlake): The junior went 3-0 with three wins by pin to take first place at the Suncoast Lady Bash.

145: Katherine Stewart (Bartram Trail): Won the Clash of Titans with a 10-4 win over top-ranked defending state champion.

155: Riley Lancaster (Admiral Farragut): Earned a win over a Top 10 wrestler who had pinned her the weekend before.

170: Ariel Alexander (Homestead): Was the top 170-pound wrestler at the H-Town Throwdown.

190: Latoya Sylvestre (South Broward): A 4 vs. 5 battle in the H-Town Throwdown final went her way in the second-meeting in less than a month between the two.

235: Cheyenne Wigley (Mainland): The second-seeded Buccaneer senior beat two ranked wrestlers, including the top-seed in the final at the Lady Clash.

Girls Week 1 Wrestlers of the Week

TOW: Hernando: Started the year off strong with a solid team performance to earn the win at the Lady Braves Thanksgiving Classic.

100: Emerson Webber (Zephryhills Christian): Our first-ever 'Reader's Choice Wrestler of the Week’, she won her first-ever high school tournament at the Lady Braves.

105: Gabriel Tedesco (Lake Gibson): The Fargo national champion started her season off strong, being named Outstanding Lightweight at the Lady Braves.

110: Keanna Bush (Hudson): Did not give up on an offensive point while cruising to victory at Lake Gibson.

115: Emma Bauknight (Hernando): Four first period falls punctuated her win at the Lady Brave Thanksgiving Classic.

120: Abby DiCenzo (Bell Creek): Kabra's second-ranked wrestler at the weight class knocked off the fourth-ranked wrestler with a second period pin at Lady Braves.

125: Ana Vilar (Flagler Palm Coast): Won a thrilling final at Lake Gibson with a match-winning takedown with just 13 seconds left.

130: Christina Borgmann (Flagler Palm Coast): She scored a major decision win in the final at Lake Gibson in a battle of Top 4 wrestlers.

135: Emma Hoppe (Viera): Scored maybe the first upset of the season when she pinned the third-ranked wrestler at the weight class at Lake Gibson.

140: Ailee Briggs (Lemon Bay): Her first tournament for Lemon Bay was special as the sophomore only gave up a single escape point in four matches.

145: Mckenzie Eltzroth (Hernando): Voted Most Outstanding upperweight wrestler at Lake Gibson, Eltzroth was dominant with a three pin performance.

155: Alexia Davis (McKeel): Won both of her matches at the Punchout with first-period pins.

170: Emari Brown (Harmony): Made her Longhorn debut a dominating one, going 3-0 to win at the Punchout with a solid Top 10 win in the semifinals.

190: Paisley Murphy (Wesley Chapel): Defeated two ranked wrestlers on her way to winning the weight class at the Princess Punchout.

235: Grace Vernine (Admiral Farragut): Won a hard fought battle against a returning state placer in the Princess Punchout final.
