Three Florida girls win folkstyle titles at Grappler Fall Classic

Kealonie Vega , Clare Booe, and Kyla Oliver kicked off the Grappler Fall Classic in style with championships in the Girls Folkstyle division in Myrtle Beach, SC.
Vega, a junior at Kissmmee Osceola, won the 102-pound weight class with a fall over Lake Highland Prep freshman Mary Manis.
The two were in a tight battle with Vega taking a 2-1 lead in the third period with a reversal with 1:35 to go. Vega then controlled the match on top before turning Manis to get the win.
The two are ranked 1-2 in Kabra Wrestling’s rankings at 100 pounds.

Returning state champion Booe dominated the competition at 106 pounds, winning all three of her matches by fall.
The Palm Harbor University sophomore did not give up an offensive point on the day.

And at 114 pounds, Lake Highland Prep freshman Oliver won her final 13-7 against Michigan’s Belicia Manuel.
Oliver trailed 5-0 after the first period but battled back in the second to take the lead and then finished the match off with 7 points in the final frame.
Brielle Bibla finished in second place in two weight classes on Saturday. Losing in the 120-pound final to North Carolina’s Isabel Rodriguez by sudden victory 9-7 and losing to 126-pound champ May Prado of Georgia.
Largo’s Teigan Slauson also finished second after being injured in the 132/139 final against Kentucky’s Lauren Walton.
The Girls Freestyle competition will take place on Sunday.
