The nominees
Mac Andrews (Wellington): It began with winning a state title in Greco, making the finals in freestyle, and qualifying for Fargo. Then at Knockout Summer Slam Duals he wrestled 175 going 9-1, only losing to a D-1 commit.
Atticus Dye (Archbishop McCarthy): Was the only one to score on Mason O’Dell, losing in the bloods at Spartan but still scored on a state champ and placed on Saturday.
David Leiva (Stoneman Douglas): Leiva's off season streak continues as he just went 11-0 at the Knockout duals which included a major decision win over the Georgia state finalist. Leiva also won the SE regionals defeating state champion Fred Mitchum and also won the Father Devine.
Nathan Lyttle (Harmony): Went 11-0 at the Osceola Summer Slam, beating multiple state-ranked wrestlers. Had a significant win over 113-pound State Placer.
Matthew Pishotta (West Port): Competed at Summer Slam and went 8-3 with 3 significant wins. A total of 3 techs and 2 pins.
