What is your favorite or most memorable match — and why?

My first year in states in the quarterfinals. I was predicted to lose but I had been training since December for that match. The match went into triple overtime and I won using the strategies I had practiced for months.

What are your wrestling goals for the year?

My wrestling goals for this year are to win a state championship and make a statement for not just Florida but on a national level. I wanna show that with hard work and dedication anyone can achieve anything.

What is your favorite thing about wrestling?

The glory of winning after putting in work

Jazlyn Diaz

What is the scariest thing you’ve ever done?

Held a gator

What are your plans for after high school?

Wrestling in college
