Weeks 6 Wrestlers of the Week

BOYS

TOW: Mount Dora: Won the school's first-ever duals district title and gave coach David Kemmy his 400th career victory.

106: Solomon Peterson (Heritage): Toppled two wrestlers ranked in the Top 2 on his way to Cradle Cancer glory.

113: Adaias Ortiz (Kissimmee Osceola): The Kowboy freshman stepped to the top of podium with a win in a star-studded weight class at Jensen Beach.

120: Luis Acevedo (South Dade): The defending state champion took out another state champion in the final of the Cradle Cancer.

126: Camren French (Mariner): The senior looked solid against a tough field in the Cradle Cancer Invitational.

132: David Drake (Bay): Was a perfect 6-0 at the Panhandle Championships at Mosley.

138: Nikolas Blake (Hagerty): Improved to 34-2 on the season with a Tournament of Champions title at Lake Mary.

144: Cavarius Liddie (Buchholz): The returning state champion put on a riding show in the finals of the Cradle Cancer, in a bracket that featured four of the Top 5 in Class 3A.

150: Matthew Archambault (Olympic Heights): Took home a well-earned first place in the John Raich Memorial.

157: Marshall White (Suwannee): Hit 30 wins on the season thus far while going 7-0 at the Panhandle Championships.

165: Enzo Gamba (Fernandina Beach): The Pirates senior had to beat two top-ranked wrestlers to win the title at the Cradle Cancer.

175: Gavin Isaacs (Lake Mary): In a bracket containing four Top 20 wrestlers, the Rams sophomore came out on top in his home gym at the TOC.

190: Jeremiah Chavis (Zephyrhills Christian): The eighth grader continued to show his growing skillset with a five win, five pin performance at George Jenkins.

215: Tucker Cody (Middleburg): Improved to 35-1 on the season with a first place achievement at the Joe Bees Memorial.

285: Jermael Paul (Evans): The Trojans senior stayed unbeaten this year with a top of the podium result at the Tournament of Champions.

GIRLS

TOW: Bell Creek Academy: Narrowly edged four teams to come out on top in the 40 team field at McKeel.

100: Mia Parker (First Baptist-Naples): The 8th grader continues to impress, winning her second tournament of the season at Lady Bear.

105: Skyler Randolph (Riverdale): Won a bracket that featured multiple ranked wrestlers at the Lady Bear.

110: Erin Rizzuto (Ponte Vedra): Prevailed in a Top 10 battled in the finals at Lady Wildcat.

115: Aurora Guadiana (Wellington): Remained undefeated on the season with a Cradle Cancer championship.

120: Isis Severe (North Miami): Finished first in a loaded Lady Bear bracket.

125: Gabriella Sergi (North Fort Myers): Pinned her way to a title at McKeel Academy on Saturday.

130: Kiley Earle (McKeel Academy): Was the top wrestler at 130 pounds at the Lady Wildcat.

135: Tiana Fries (Matanzas): Fries continues to hit her stride, upsetting the second-ranked wrestler in the final at Jensen Beach.

140: Isabella Tolentino (East River): Scored one of our top upsets of the week with a strong performance at Winter Springs in a bracket that featured three Top 7 wrestlers.

145: Alisha Vilar (Flagler Palm Coast): Was the top wrestler at Winter Springs in the weight class on Friday.

155: Kha'liyah Delva (Fort Pierce Central): Finished atop the podium at Jensen Beach this weekend.

170: Megan Preston (Wiregrass Ranch): Followed up a strong holiday break with an all-pin performance in winning the Lady Wildcat.

190: Quisiera Wilson (Lincoln Park): The talented freshman won another tournament, finishing first in the Lady Wildcat Scramble.

235: Cerenity Whiting (Countryside): Topped a weight class at McKeel that had four ranked wrestlers in the bracket.
